Shakespeare in Love - F
I don't care that this movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture. It was awful. I can't even look at that picture without being transported back into the awfulness. I knew there was a reason I had avoided it for so long. It also doesn't help that I'm taking a Shakespeare class this semester and I legitimately enjoy Shakespeare. I just... don't like this movie. And I don't know why but I cannot bring myself to like Gwyneth Paltrow. I just can't. Every movie she is in I just loathe her. Couldn't tell you why. I want this movie to be purged from my memory. Now.

Once - B
It's sort of an underwhelming movie, but the music makes up for what the film itself lacks. I guess you could describe this as "my type of music." It's beautiful and moving. The film... meh. But the music is incredible.

Becoming Jane - D
The only redeeming thing about this movie is my love for James McAvoy. I enjoy Anne Hathaway most of the time, but when will the studios get it in their heads that American does not equal British. If you are not born in Great Britain, you do not have an British accent (I'm looking at you, Madonna). Jane Austen was British. Anne Hathaway is American. DOES NOT COMPUTE. Sigh. James McAvoy is still incredibly cute.
