A Star is Born (1954): A-
This was a lot more depressing than I thought it would be. Still, it was beautiful and moving and I completely love Judy Garland.

Grey Gardens/The Beales of Grey Gardens: A
The most outstanding documentary I have ever seen. It feels like the Maysle brothers were there for a purpose, but it is not exploitative or crude. It's a beautiful, moving, sad depiction of the life of a mother and her daughter who were once at the top of society and have fallen. Absolutely stunning.

Heathers: B+
Finally saw the whole movie after seeing only the first part about 5 times. Hilarious and creepy and awesome.

Lars and the Real Girl: B
I love Ryan Gosling, and yet this movie underwhelmed me. I think he did a fantastic job with his role, but the movie lacked the sophistication that leads me back to some of his other movies (see Half Nelson or The Notebook).
